Happy X’Mos (Burger)
Never been one for junk food, me. Just conjures up yucky images of yucky greasy yuck. It sticks to your insides and everything. Send that one right back.
But I do make one exception, and that is for Mos Burger.
Not just yer bogstandard Maccy D’s, but rather Japanese Fine Burger and Coffee. And we’re not being fobbed off with trade descriptions, either. No, they have the most avante garde menu ever. Instead of shoeleather bread buns, let us be presented with the concept of the rice bun. Yes, that’s right; not bread, but rice in the shape of bread. How ace is that? And no offal ‘n’ giblet burgers. On the contrary, they are filled with yummy tempura’d veggies and seafood. Quite frankly, simply delightful.
No less disappointing is the sloganeering. Of course, there might be the predictable festive stuff such as Merry X’Mos, but the evergreen favourite simply has to be Hamburger Is My Life. Which indeed begs the question, what else could there be to live for? Obviously not a lot.
