You’ve been squid ink’d!
To celebrate my friend Teppei’s boythday (incidentally not from Brooklyn, but I love the accent!), we all trundled off to a little (or I should say BIG?) gem of a restaurant in Umeda’s Chayamachi called Cafe La Boheme.
Are those marshmallow pillows stuck to the walls? No, simply the daydreamy interior design running amok in an ambient chic kind of a way. We are boheme, after all. I feel some feather boa action coming on.
And then, my goodness…what the Dickens is that? Something most unnerving found its way onto our table…
You’d be forgiven for thinking that a plate of tarmac was peddling its wares in a vain attempt to look appetising.
No! The rice obviously had a run-in with none other than Captain Squid Ink.
Friendly fire it seems, as the odd melange actually turned out to be an expected treat. Give it a whirl, but don’t ask to look at your lovers tongue afterwards.
